Sportscraft and FRANKiE4 Footwear create super styles for women over 50 and if you want to get a new look or get the look and replicate mine, read on …
I recently picked up a leopard print wrap skirt, matching beige knit short-sleeved T and relaxed blazer from Sportscraft to see me through the mid season in relaxed style.
Get the Look
I’ve teamed my new look with FRANKiE4 MiMs, my go-to sneaker of the moment and a 1920s style hat from my wardrobe.

I love the gentle wrap and fall of the skirt, which is in a soft viscose material.
The capped sleeve, button through T finishes at just the right length and doesn’t cling, which is essential with the tie skirt so that it cleverly conceals rather than focuses on your tummy.
For anyone over 50 wanting to replicate this casual, slightly boho look, consider the following.
Find a skirt that is in a soft, flowing material, that skims your hips.
You could wear this skirt with ankle boots, but for everyday wear and walking, then team it with sneakers.
- When choosing a top to go with a wrap skirt, don’t pick a tight Tee that you have to tuck in as it will cause ruffle type problems around your midriff.
- Choose a shirt or Tee that falls just to the top or just over the tie waist of the skirt, and one that isn’t too tight.
- If you would rather show your shoulders, then an armless blouse would really elongate this look.
- You could opt for a cardigan, but I like the casual and relaxed style of this unlined jacket – which will be a very versatile piece to have in my wardrobe to wear with jeans and ponte pants in the future.
