Arcopedico. A word that has begun to roll off my tongue very nicely recently. And it’s associated in my mind with happy feet.
The Arcopedico team make the most comfortable, soft, lightweight shoes you can imagine. Wearing them is like floating on air.
My recent loves are these zip-up, suede feel, L19 boots. They come in black, red and olive and are so featherweight that you hardly know you have shoes on at all.
But having said that the anatomic footbed and twin arch support system ensures good support under the foot too. Believe me – I have abused my feet for years, and now I’m paying for it. So comfort like the L19’s offer is an absolute blessing.

Arcopedico Facts
Arcopedico shoes and boots have been handmade in Portugal since 1966, and are now available in more than 40 countries worldwide.
The Technical Side of Things
The ergonomic Arcopedico footwear design was conceived by Prof Elio Parodi, the founder (1914 – 1973) who created a biodegradable raw material combination and ergonomic design that has 3 main advantages
- Techno-Elastic uppers – this allows total freedom to the foot perimeter due to the softness and self adjustability.
- Anatomic footbed – grants the plantar surface 100% body weight distribution, assuring correct body balance.
- Twin Arch Support System – specific support of the foot arch for the correct positioning of the vertical column.
While that may be a little too technical for me, I only have to relate it to the way the boots look and feel to the touch as well as how they feel on my feet, to understand that there is relevance when it comes to the techno benefits.

I’m told that wearing an Arcopedico shoe will actually exercise your foot, strengthen the muscles, and ensure more comfortable walking.
The tops of your feet will breathe easy and your soles will want to keep walking long after you’ve stopped for coffee!
Try them, and see what I mean.
Arcopedico get a big tick of approval from me and my poor tired old trotters.

These boots look so warm and comfy. I could imagine getting a lot of wear out of these in Winter.
Hi Kathy, yes these Arcopedicos will be on high rotation in our SWA winter!
Excellent article! Thank you for your all articles. I follow your.
Practical and they look good!
Thanks for popping by Sarah. Yes, Arcopedico deliver on both those counts. I’m really hooked on them. These days if my feet aren’t happy, I’m not happy – but then again, some brands can unwittingly turn the idea of comfort into ‘frumpdom’ but Arcopedico keeps the stylish element front of foot so to speak.
Hope you like them as much as I do Theresa. They are so comfy for travelling too.
They look like just the the perfect thing for my vacation. I’ll check them out!
