Curvy bodies are great. And as we get older it’s possible that our curves become more abundant, and we should just be happy and rock our look! Here are 10 casual outfit ideas for curvy ladies, like me (and possibly you!) that will make you feel great whatever the season.
First up a side wrap dress. Always a winner for anyone with a sizeable bust or tum. Very flattering because it has a gentle drape and also cap sleeves which is just so complimentary for our upper arms.
It’s a ruffle delight from Noni B. A Hi-lo Ruffle Dress (not gifted) which you could dress up or dress down. Wear it with your dainty sandals when the weather’s hot, or pair it with a pair of ankle boots and a jacket for mid season. A sweet hi lo hem is a nice feature hemline and the cross over front is very forgiving.

But you can find this style of dress in many stores. Look for a side tie that loops through the waistline and ties at the waist on the side. It’s a classic wrap with a hi-lo hem, a casual style for curvy ladies that you’ll pop on with sneakers as I have (FRANKiE4 MIMs) for summer, or you could wear this style with ankle boots and a cardigan in winter.

A maxi style with a ruffle hem will flatter most curvy ladies. I love the one below from Rivers which features a wild animal print, a tie neck and lots of room for comfort. Team it with sandals or ankle boots and pop a warm cardi over the top for cooler days.

The Dress below is from Adrift, one of my favourite labels. It’s floaty and feminine and if you pop over to the Adrift website you’ll find an ever changing parade of gorgeous dresses in pretty prints (and for the win, they all have pockets – nearly always!)

Here’s another dress for curvy bodies, in a Gerbera print from Adrift. It’s light and floaty and delightful to wear. Dress it up or dress it down, add a navy or pink cardigan if it’s cool.

Below I’m wearing FRANKiE4 white sneakers, so comfortable and very versatile with Vivid International separates. I love the double layer of the top which falls to just the right length and covers any curves around the tummy.

Vivid International separates worn below for a stroll into the countryside. Again for curvy ladies the double layer of the T plus the long sleeves are both winners.

And then there’s the bubble dress. This dress is a pull-on and forget style of dress. Go out for lunch or dinner and don’t worry about holding your tummy in! Plus it’s elbow length sleeves are just fabulous for holding in any flabby upper arm issues. Wear it on it’s own with court shoes or sandals in summer and layer it up with a warm coat, a scarf, and ankle boots in winter.

Feeling like you just want a casual day at home, a Sunday afternoon type of dress? I love the ease of the inexpensive sweater dress below, on Amazon, which comes in a variety of colours. Coffee and cake anyone?
