I love Ponte Pants and I wear them through autumn, winter and spring.
I love Ponte Pants from Millers (inexpensive) and NYDJ ponte pants (luxury). I keep the expensive ones for going out, and the inexpensive ones for everyday wear!
Here are 5 different ways to wear ponte pants.
5 Ways to wear Ponte Pants
- With a baggy t-shirt that covers your bum, preferably something fitted and flared as above.
- With a fitted t-shirt, over which you wear a long cardigan.
- With a pretty floaty kaftan top.
- With a longish collared shirt and a belt slung low.
- With a lovely winter sweater that covers your tum and bum.

I seriously love them. Since I returned from the world cruise they’ve been my go-to garment of choice because they’re so versatile.
You can dress them up or dress them down – hide a less than flat tummy, wear something baggy over them to hide your ass too if you like, and maybe even pop on a scarf too.

And of course you can wear them with sneakers, like FRANKiE4’s in the photo above, or with boots as below if the weather is cooler.
Today was a no make up day, bar for a bit of blusher and some lippy. So I threw on my Millers ponte pants with a last-year’s T from Cotton On, a pair of very old boots, a $15 necklace I bought on a Princess Cruises world cruise in a sale, and my Panama hat – yes the one I bought in Equador 🙂 The total look would come in well under $100.
Here’s how it all strung together.

Then, because I was getting a bit cold, I layered on a wild animal print sweater that I bought last year in England.

Time for a glass of wine don’t you think?
Cheers, m’dears!

Do you wear Ponte Pants? What do you wear with them?
Yes I think ponte pants are great too for the cooler weather. I love wearing mine around the house as they are so comfy. Sometimes I wear them shopping with a nice longline top and I’ve worn them on long haul flights too. Recently I found a pair of lightweight pull on pants at Uniqlo which are great too. I wore them on the flight to Bali recently and they weren’t too hot on our arrival to the high temperatures.
Ooh going to check out those pants on Uniqlo Kathy – Thanks for the tip. I have a pair of white Uniqlo pull on pants that I’ve worn loads and they don’t need much ironing either.
Love ponte pants. I got a burgundy pair, and an olive pair, on sale from Crossroads this winter – both for $15! It’s too hot to wear them here in Bris-Vegas now though 🙁
Was looking for some other colours Janet, and that’s a great price! Thanks for the heads-up 🙂
Love my ponte pants and wear a pair literally to death every year, so next autumn I will be looking for the next perfect pair. So great for travel and ideal for those days when you feel like wearing track pants or PJs but need to be a little more stylish.
Hi Jan, yes me too, I wear mine to death and they are so great for travelling.
