I have a love-hate relationship with polls. Generally they pop up online when I’m at my busiest and I really don’t want to complete them. But then I often feel a loyalty to the person who’s asked me to answer a few questions, because I know my small input will probably help them direct their blogging or business efforts further in the right direction.
While ultimately I believe you have to move forward in the direction that truly inspires you, because that’s the path which will sustain your energy, there are definitely twists, turns and short cuts you can pay attention to along the way to help guide you to better not only in life but also in blogging. Which is why I think it’s important to keep asking lovely Lifestyle Fifty readers questions to find out what you really want.
So it was with some trepidation that I popped a Poll into a Lifestyle Fifty newsletter some weeks ago, because I thought, “What if nobody answers – will I just give up blogging altogether?” but then I thought, if anyone was likely to help me in my quest it would be the fabulous Lifestyle Fifty subscriber clan.
What a great tribe! You know who you are!
Phew. I almost cried with relief when the answers started coming in.
Of course I kept checking on the hour (and more!) to see what the responses would be. To begin with nobody answered.
I got ready to throw my laptop into the lake.
Then there was one. Then another. By the time I’d opened a bottle of wine, there were a few more, and when I’d finished it, there were loads. Hic!
Thank you, all of you, who kindly took the time to take the Poll and provide insights which will help guide me over the next few months. You probably don’t realise how helpful you’ve been, but you have.
I don’t know who you are because I didn’t ask for names or email addresses – I didn’t want anyone to feel embarassed.
So here are the results of the anonymous poll, but if anybody would like to add their thoughts (and answers) in the comments below, of course I’d love that too.

Cool? All we need is your email.
Sorry Jo I never got around to completing your survey. You know I love everything you do and I say keep up the good work you! xx
I forgive you … especially as you say such LOVELY things! Thanks Kathy!
A – I love your opinions and the way you tackle semi-serious issues in a funny way. Keep it up 😉
Thank you Annabel. I really appreciate your thoughts here 🙂
All very interesting answers to your poll. I think women (and also men) are very interested in aging fabulously.
I also love that quote about following the path that offers the most energy. Wonderful advice.
Hi Laurie, thanks for popping by today. Ageing fabulously is something to aspire to no matter what because the other options aren’t great, hey! Yes, I love that quote of Ruth’s too. Uplifting.
My answer to question 8 would be all three thanks Jo! Looking forward to another fabulous Lifestyle 50 year with you.
Thanks Jill, and likewise 🙂
