For the next post (Part 10) in our series Bloggers Over 50, please welcome SJ at The Prosperous Blonde who shares some fabulous tips to help you flourish!
Table of Contents
1. Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging because I absolutely love blogs and I wanted to help women my age flourish in Phase
2. What’s your blog about?
I blog about travel, personal finance and prosperity-which is more than finances! Really on the Prosperous Blonde I want to help women live their best life!

3. What’s your best tip for women over 50 who want to live well, thrive and flourish into old age?
Have lots of interests!! Once my kids went off to college, the one thing I told myself I wouldn’t do is work all day and then come home & veg out in front of the TV every night. No way! Doing that will make you old! Definitely not what I want in my Phase 2. I have LOTS of interests to keep me busy!
4. What’s your favourite clothing brand?
I’m a jeans girl. I love old school Levi’s, Lucky Brand and Kut From the Cloth.
5. If you had to pick a favourite everyday outfit – what would you pull on?
Jeans, pretty top and flat boots – I’m 5’10″ so I don’t need heels! I just got these Levi Wedgie jeans that are the button fly like 501s used to be.
Love!
5. What’s your best make-up tip?
I like CC cream. It gives me a nice coverage when I don’t want to wear a lot of foundation and can also wear under foundation for more coverage.
6. What foundation do you use?
I just started using Lancôme CC.
7. Do you have an exercise routine – if so, what do you do?
I’m a big believer in movement! I try to get 10,000 steps everyday but usually only hit that goal about 4 days a week. I walk a lot outside with my dog and hit the elliptical at the gym a few times a week. I also force myself to do weights a couple times a week. I’m not a fan of weightlifting but I know it’s so good for your bones!! My favorite activity right now is yoga! Love it for mind and body!
8. Anything else you’d like to add.
I’m super excited to share my tips & tricks to help you all flourish & live your best life.
Phase 2 should be awesome!!
Thanks SJ – it’s been great getting to know you, and thanks for the tips.

I love meeting other “ jeans and nice top “ girls! Yay for us! Although I’m only 5ft 1inch – ducks disease. It’s the first time in the history of Sandra that I don’t own a pair of flat, tan, knee high boots. Can’t find a pair I like. Love your philosophy on life Sj 🙂
Hi Sandra, yes SJ has a great philosophy on life, doesn’t she 🙂
So nice to meet you SJ. I’m kinda a jeans and nice top girl too! I’m trying to get more into dresses though and I’m getting there. Thanks Jo – it’s so fabulous to be made aware of all these midlife bloggers that I otherwise might not have known of! #TeamLovinlife

Hi Jo – thanks for introducing me to yet another Midlife blogger – I love seeing how each of us has a different focus, but it’s all about living our best life after 50 isn’t it?
Hi Leanne, thank you. Yes it’s really great seeing how everyone lives their own life with different focus. Like you, I celebrate our differences 🙂
